"Sequoia" is drum and bass music! It's the sequel to Yggdrasil Fall, which you can hear at moule.bandcamp.com/track/yggdrasil-fall. It started right at the end of 2020 when I messed around with the same keyboard used to make said track, then came the flute sound...then before you know it, I had finished it before the new year began!

I think Sequoia sounds much better than Yggdrasil Fall (which is still one of my favourite tracks) because I've used what I've learned from making my recent releases and integrated it into this track, plus there's more melody variation and emotion. Like Yggdrasil Fall, Sequoia represents me as an adventurous but easygoing individual, who appreciates nature, knowing life is short and that we need to make the most of it.

The five characters in the cover art are homages to previous releases! From left to right, they include:

- Tom: A.K.A. "California Grizzly", he's the greatest skateboarding grizzly bear of all time. His theme track is moule.bandcamp.com/track/california-grizzly.

- Ecstatica: A deer full of energy and enjoys partying with her friends! Her theme track is moule.bandcamp.com/track/ecstatica.

- Melody: The music-loving skunk! She's the guitarist of the Data Trio, who made their first appearance in Unlimited Data: moule.bandcamp.com/track/unlimited-data.

- Oskar: A cheeky cyborg prankster squirrel, who likes to prank the other Animals and mess with their communication lines. He first appears in Enjoy the Ride: moule.bandcamp.com/track/enjoy-the-ride.

- Cockburn: Pronounced "co-burn", this purple-hooded bear takes it easy in life and enjoys relaxing music. He's named after 【ｃｏｃｋｂｕｒｎ　ｃｅｎｔｒａｌ】 (moule.bandcamp.com/track/-) and also appears in Lazy Afternoon (moule.bandcamp.com/track/lazy-afternoon).

More fun facts about Sequoia:

- Sequoia was originally going to be in a tree-themed album I was going to release in the future, but I decided to scrap the concept (for now) and release Sequoia early.
- Sequoia is obviously autumn-themed even though here in Australia we're entering Spring - it's because a majority of my listeners live in the Northern Hemisphere, where it's still hot but turning into autumn.
- As are all my releases in 2021, this track has a quokka (a West Aussie marsupial) hidden in it, but this time it's a lot more trickier to find! Can you see it?
- My philosophy is that cover arts should always look like how the music sounds, and vice versa. Sequoia, sounding like Yggdrasil Fall which looks similar to this cover art, brought up images in my head of towering sequoia trees (hence the name).
- Sequoia is not one of my newer tracks! It began on December 29, 2020, and finished the day after. It's not the last track in 2020 though.
- It's my 134th finished track and 57th release.
