ENJOY THE RIDE - Making fun of the ongoing apocalypse, encouraging you to see the bright side of things.

We are living through one of the greatest transformational times in recent history! Created on November 20, 2020, it's one of my more recent tracks. On November 25th, I had a great day and finished 3 tracks (a personal record, since I can barely make 1 a day), and this was the second one of them. The other two were "Lazy Afternoon" and "Unlimited Data".

Since November I've also found myself saying the phrase "enjoy the ride" a lot in regards to world events. A mutating virus, vaccines, people going crazy, climate change, contact tracing, squirrels potentially taking out the power grid... It's like a roller coaster ride of events, and we may as well try to see the bright side of it, and enjoy our slow-motion apocalypse we always knew would eventually happen.

I feel Enjoy the Ride is my best expression of myself as an artist. It best captures my crazy, cartoony, and optimistic view of our pessimistic world. From the track to the cover art...wow.

It's part of my recent chain of offensively positive releases (Trash FROM the Trash Panda, Ecstatica, Year's End, Year's Start), hoping to bring back joy to people around our brave new world.

I love creating these cartoon animal artworks and juxtaposing them with apocalyptic imagery. This is my coolest and best cover art I've made, and I'm so proud of it. It took ages too - recently, I tend to spend 90% of my time designing stuff and the rest actually making music. I'll admit it - I'm more of a designer than a musician. I might get into animation and 3D design next!

FUN FACT: The 40-second interval starting at 3:20 was originally its own track called "So Long, Friend". I had the beginning of it sitting on my laptop for 3.5 years never touched, so I decided to integrate it into Enjoy the Ride. It sounds very fitting for it!
